Supporting young minds to learn and grow

With over 30 years experience in teaching I am able to offer bespoke 1:1 teaching to meet your child's needs .  Working from my home in Saltdean I have developed a relaxed and  comfortable space for tuition in all subjects.

Face to face tutoring in my dedicated garden room in Saltdean.

What we do

Special Needs and Disabilities

I work closely with families to get to know your child so I can meet their needs and help them to reach their potential.  I have experience supporting children with a wide range of needs.  Please call to discuss further.

1:1 face to face

I believe that relationships are key to success, and that means getting to know each other in person rather than through a computer screen.  I can then quickly assess and adapt to your child's needs so that I can help them to make  great progress.

Dedicated space

My dedicated space is next to the main house.  A comfortable and quiet place to work, with soft seating, desk and chairs, bookshelves full of hundreds of children's books and other resources.

About me

My name is Fran Lovemore. I have been teaching for over 30 years and have taught classes from Reception through to Year 6, as well as being Deputy Head and Head of School.  I pride myself on knowing children as individuals, identifying gaps in learning or areas that need developing and using this to ensure  success.

What people have been saying

Year 10 maths student

'I have been working with Fran this year because I needed help with maths.  I have just moved up into the top set and have a higher GCSE prediction.'

Parent

'Fran was really reassuring and immediately put me and C at ease.  She has lots of experience dealing with children with anxiety  but since he started working with Fran, C's confidence has improved hugely and he's really started to believe in himself.  He's talking about his learning  and he is making good progress at school.'

Year 6 pupil

Y was struggling to keep up at school and her parents asked me to help her with her end of Key Stage tests.

'Fran explains things really clearly and goes over the things I am learning at school but in a clearer way because its just me and she knows what I need to learn.'
